Caps and fuses

Im putting together my stereo system into my vp and had a couple of questions...ive got a 600rms mono block powering my 2 type 's' alpine subs and a 2000watt 4 channel (who needs that amount of power) powering my 6 splits and 6 inch's.....
I want to put a cap in and was wondering on the best way to wire it...

Is it easier to run my 2 Gage wire from Battery to fuse the fun it to the Cap then from the cap run my 2 Gage to the Subs and 8 Gage to the 4 channel, or run seperate wires to the cap and then seperate to the amps???

I would not be runing 8 guage... you should be looking at 4 guage

as for the caps - 1 or 2 farad would be fine. 2 = 1 + 1
