THOUGH THE STUFF on EBAY!!! is all REFURBISHED JUNK!!!! all the MANUFACTURERS released all of the warranty CLAIMS etc onto the market and EBAY SELLER are FLOGGING THEM OFF AS NEW!!!!!!

Soundstream are a good brand and make some top quality amps, but I wouldnt touch ebay amps... As posted above ^^^ Be warned and steer clear.

i got 2 soundstreame amps and i havent installed them yet but i didnt buy them of ebay i bought them from wow sight and sound and got them 4 a good price well i thout it was a good price $169 ea for 1000 watt 4 way bridgable

I've got 2 soundstream amps. Had em for 6 years and they have been in 3 different cars. Top quality. Also have soundstream front and rear splits. Also been in 3 different cars.

Soundstream does not refurbish amps - so it's impossible to buy refurbished Sounstream. So is Pioneer and many others - you can buy refurbished products only if the manufacturer refurbish them

Also that all the serial numbers are removed as well as the Warranty CARD!!!

Also how would you know if you are not a AUTHORISED DEALER ---

Well I bought 2 soundstream amps off ebay, brand new NOT refurbished, in brand new packaging. The seller is legitimate, runs a shop in the US, I have a 2 year warranty and bought it them for a fraction of the cost I would pay here. Only concern I would have is that if something did go wrong with them I would have to snd them back to the US for warranty repairs/ replacement, but I weighed up the cost even if I had to send them back- more than once, it would still be cheaper than buying from an Australian seller.

Sure there are a lot of dodgy sellers on ebay, but if you do your homework you will find theres a lot of great sellers there too!

Julie... Did the amps have the serial numbers on them? I've bought from legitimate US sellers too yet they still remove the serial number so that the manufacturer doesn't find out thet they're selling their products via eBay. Most manufacturers do not want their products sold on eBay unless they are selling it on there themselves, like Alpine selling their refurbished products on there.

Mid to high end Soundstream amps are excellent. For $169 for a Soundstream 4 channel, I think they are probably fakes. Soundstream don't make cheap gear, so it is highly unlikely that their products could even be bought for cost at that price.

Hey StoneX, yep the amps both have serial no.s, in the ad the seller specifically stated that they are NOT refurbished and warned of buying refurbished amps from other sellers.

Ive purchased both my pioneer amps 1 4 channel and a mono block came with a 2 year warrenty and like julie said they werent refurbished amps they still had the warrenty cards inside the boxes aswell as all the serial numbers. they r a year n a half old so they r goin fine im happy with buyin off ebay from those ppl got them both 4 $535 including postage

The problem is that the warranty is not with Pioneer Australia, you would have to send it back to the seller, s/he would then have to send it overseas to where they bought it from. A bit of a pain if anything ever did go wrong. Australian distributors will only warranty repair products they sold, as their sale price allows for repair costs.

yer that mayb true but hey ive got another 6 months b4 the warrenty runs out neways and they r showing no signs of slowing down so if u find the right gear at this price y not guess its a chance u have 2 take seems 2 have saved me a **** load

some times it is better to buy overseas and import.
with some of the more obscure brands there can be large savings offered.
most of the manstream stuff though works out more expensive when shipping and conversion rates and fees are paid.
