    yep sure is.

works good. i wasnt fussed on a headunit, pc all the way, but i need a headunit if i want to do dbdrag competitions, unless i buy a specially bought carpc from a stereo dealer. but im over that, it goes hard and im happy

takes roughly 50 seconds from cold boot to playing music and gps loaded.

i havent been bothered to setup the software to the point that it could take as little as 10 seconds after bios bootup, so maybe 20 seconds max.

thats one thing i really do want, is radio.

sure ive got like 8000 songs (not bragging i know ppl with more)

theres a lot of guys over at CAA that are getting into the carpc side of things and are integrating compatibility with existing units, digital processor audio units and all sorts.

hakhawk, just a question how much do you think you spent all up getting your current system hooked up including all parts you had to buy ??

for the computer itself, not including subs, amps, box. was around $1300, but that was over 18 months ago when all the components were much more expensive and not as common. could probably get out of it for under 1000 these days.

    Guys....

I wanna do the same thing to my VR....I'm quite computer orientated (have built a couple of desktops before) but perhaps you could answer a couple of questions....

How do you power it? I'm a little concerned about making sure I'm not gunna burn wires out.
How does the boot up & shutdown/hibernation work? Off ignition or manual boot/shutdown?
Do u need to run 4 channel amp for speakers? I currently have an amp running the sub, but I'm thinking of putting in 5.1ch sound card in as well....
I've got my eye on an 8" touch screen on ebay. Do u have a keyboard connected or run off monitor?
