i have just baught a 10" 250WATTS SUBWOOFER,and i was wondering if a 2500w amp is to much to power it. and or what size amp is a reasonable size to power it. im new to car audio and i dont know jack all so please dont flame me.
and also if what guage wiring kit i would need for the AMP . thanks
What subwoofer? It's really difficult to help when people just say a 250W subwoofer, how are we meant to know what sub it is? Subs can have different impedance voice coils so just the power rating is useless for choosing an amp.
Also, is that MAX power or RMS/nominal/continuous power? You need to use the later to determine what size amp.

I'd hope thats 250 watts RMS... The amp rating is obviously max power so thats not overly helpful.
Only pay attention the RMS watts mate, peak or max watts mean nothing. More detailsssssss![]()
