    Default Sub won't work...

    Hey All

I just got an amp today for my sub, i can get the amp to work but not the sub... its just the sub connected to the amp, the other speakers run off the HU.

Do i need more then 1 rca cable? like one to sub then amp, then other from amp to HU?

The subs an Boss BA1090 sub max 1000w, wish i knew the the lowest power watts it requires... i've looked everywhere

    Cheers

Hey Goon, is the sub goin to be the only thing runnin off the amp?

    That amp i think is a 4ch....
Plug the 2 rca plugs into channel one and two, then u just run the sub off those channels.

If that amp is bridgable then u can wire the sub + to ch1 + and the sub - to ch2 - if it needs sum more power which i think it will.

But its all depending on wat power and if its dvc.

    Hope that helps ya.

^^ they are all on the one side.

The other side of the amp

Speaker input. <<-- square connection. 4 smller squares
Input white L red R <<--- RCA cable to HU?

Also, the power wire on the amp needs to be connected directly to your battery with adequate size wiring and a fuse holder within 30cm of the battery. The power wire is not accessories.

if ur power is hooked up 2 ur accessories i dont think that will work u need 2 do wat stonex said and run a main power lead straight from ur battery and 2 the amp 8 gauge would b enough but if u can afford go as thick as u can

depends on the amp... under 800rms then 8ga though we always run 4ga as you dont have to upgrade if you upgrade the amps.

Go for good quality.... no fire fire fire! and will give you good voltage etc

YES!!! --- no good on the negative side as the damage will be done if there is a short...

.... just a word of WARNING!!!!! dont hook the RCA to the HEADUNIT if you have the igition on or power to the HU as you will BLOW the CIRCUIT PROTECTOR on the Pioneer..... and VOID the WARRANTY!

You can attach one VC to one channel and the other VC to the other channel though not a great idea!

    But will work!

Didn't the SUB come with wiring instructions???
