Mine are behind the door trim, sitting on the plastic water cover. But if you want yours to be seen just cut a hole in your trim somewhere, and poke them out. I mounted my tweeters on the little plastic plate that has the mirror adjuster on it.

Inside of the door trim ay.
Ill probly have a good look at mine when i come to mounting them, i dont want to pull all the dash out and then put it back on to drive and then have to pull it all back out to mount the tweeters in under the fake vent holes that need cutting out

Yeah, just have a look around, theres plenty of places to hide the crossovers, and plenty of places to mount the tweeters. Keep in mind you want the tweeters somewhere close to you so you get their proper effects, treble doesnt travel through things well.

On all the commodores I've done I've always put them in the same place..time after time!

Under the glove compartment is a black pllastic panel stopping you from seeing up under the dash. I've always removed it, bolted the crossovers to that and reinstalled it.

The main reason I do that is simply because the crossovers are typically the first component to fail. Also, if you lose sound up front you need a quick easy place to check if the sound is still getting to the speakers without ripping the doors apart.

yer ive always been told NOT 2 put the crossovers in the doors 4 the same reason by . (<thats the dudes name btw) hahahaha plus coz ur opening n closing the door all the time u risk the chance of them failing more kick panels r usually the best place 2 hide them

In my first VS I had the crossovers mounted under the door trim under the arm rest where the most room is
and I had the tweeters just on the front of the door trim (I didnt have window rollers)
im currently installing my system in my new VS (with window rollers) and I attatched the tweeters on the midranges and put them in the door pod together
the crossover is floating around in the arm rest atm too, I have to secure it haha
but yeh im planning on moving both those, but still on the door, its easier to wire and you dont need to buy extra wire or cut holes
