    Unhappy Expert help needed badly

Somebody help. My Pioneer head unit stopped working and I thought it may have been a simple fuse or loose connection. Unfortunately it seems a little more complex. Here's a list of things I discovered and tried:

    * I have determined that the CD player is still working 100% by swapping it with the one in my wifes car. When in my wifes car it works fine. I put my wifes Pioneer in my car and it doesn't work, so the poblem is in my car.

    * I swapped faces and there was no difference.

    * I disconnected the Battery, accessory and constant 12v wire from the crimps to bypass the wiring harness and the electric antenna still works as well as power getting to the stacker.

    * I swapped wiring harnesses and there was no difference.

    * Have checked all fuses with no luck.

Basically there is no power getting to the cd player even though power is being supplied. I've even double checked that the wires are connected correctly with a wiring diagram. I'm at a loss as to where the fault is but I don't want to have to pay an audio installer hundreds of $ to fix it if I don't have too. Any Ideas?

hard wire it to the battery? all you have to do is get the acc. wire off the hu and the power wire off the hu. twist them together and run an 8 guage wire to the battery.. might be an earthing problem ?? cant tell without anyone looking at your car.. mines hard wired so that i can run it without the ignition, u just have to remember to turn it off when u get out of the car.. obviously youve taken it in and out? so just check all your wiring
Don't blame me, It's that damn percadan..

Thanks for the help guys. I gave up and went back to the garage and put it all back together. I just taped up the power and acc wires and what do you know? It bloody works! I still can't figure it out because I didn't do anything different than what I did for the past 8 hours today. The cd player had no lights, no beeps anything, now it works and even the electric antenna is working properly. I guess we'll never know.
