6 disc eurovox pioneer HU

have just bought a pioneer head unit, it says it has cd-changer controls, just wondering, can i use my 6-disc statesman stacker with a pioneer?

CAFO's response of should work does not help you one bit andy_the_bear.
the pioneer unit cannot work with the eurovox head unit. both devices talk different languages and there is no adapter plug for that reason.

and this from a guy who says build a sub enclosure to the biggest size you can fit in the boot!!!

No to what the sub can handle, can be tuned to or sound wave considerations

You can get an adaptor from pioneer that allows you to us the RCAs on the HU to accept PBUS... though I guess you knew that from your comment!!

But does the Eurovox stacker have RCA outputs? No... So what's the point in buying the P-Bus connector?

How would you even control the stacker if you're only using audio outputs? The stacker needs data transfer from a head unit to control it's operations, i'm not aware of any connector or convertor that allows this. The data from the Pioneer head unit and data from the Eurovox would be different aswell so you couldn't just make up a special loom.

Pioneer have stacker controls though not on all there HUs ... I was getting at RCA from the Hu to the Stacker... though what you are suggesting should work though dont know what range of stacker controls you will get.

I knew exactly what you meant

Pioneer head units control Pioneer stackers. As I said above, unless the Eurovox stacker had RCA outputs and some way to control it, it will not work.

to andy the bear, cafo's response of should work again and don't know what controls you will have still doesn't help you and does not provide a technical explanation of how you could hook up a pioneer unit to a eurovox stacker. To pay a technician to create a circuit boards that changes the language of the pioneers p-bus lead to talk to your eurovox stacker WILL COST MORE THAN A PIONEER STACKER. so no you cannot hook up a pioneer to eurovox. I agree with fastverada and stoneX. CAFO has no idea and salesmen always try and sound like they know everthing. i don't know everthing about car audio but i have been installing it with a high end car audio store for 7 years so i do know a bit.
