Default How to fit sub in VR sedan boot

I just got a 10 inch sub off a mate which came already in the box. At the moment it is just loose in the boot because i dont know where or how to mount it. does anyone have any suggestions or pics of what they have done?

If u want to do it soo it wont move or easy to pinch, just go buy a couple L brackets n bolt them to the box and bottom of parcel shelf or back of the seats (metal part not the accual seat)

Or if u just want it to hold in place n make it easy to pul in n out just get sum ocky straps, i use em to hold my box's down as i dont want to have to unbolt em each time i need sum room. Ive got 4 straps that hold my box's in place n they dont move an inch.

There are plenty of ways to mount the box u just gotta think which way will suit ur needs better.

something simple nobody has mentioned is sticking a piece of MDF under the carpet and then screwing the sub box down into it so the carpet is sandwhiched between the sub box and piece of MDF under the carpet. holds things firm, isn't unsitely and requires minimal effort.

Craft stores, but when I was in australia last I got a small roll of it from the craft seection in a supermarket.

Becareful with velcro........many people have heard the story here before about me and velcro but the first time I used it I covered the entire bottom of the box with velcro. The issue came when I went to remove it. I couldn't. The box never did actually let go. I thought I had when when I was pulling with everything I have when I the big rip. I thought I had won because I had the sub box in hand........including the entire boot carpet

Securing sub box the installer Formerly Known As 12Voltking way LOL

    1, Remove sub from box.
    2, Put box into position.
3, Find woodscrews that have the shortest possible length to go through wood, carpet, insulation and sheetmetal of car with going too much further.
    4, Get cordless drill
5, Climb into the boot and wrestle screw and drill INSIDE the box and line it up.
    6, Pull trigger on drill.
    7, Swear and curse
    8, Get out of boot.
9, Find other battery for drill
10, Climb back into boot and wrestle screw and drill INSIDE the box and line it up.
11, Pull trigger on drill on drill
    12, Swear and curse
    13, Climb out of boot
    14, Put battery on charge
15, Wait 30 minutes and charge the customer for your time
    16, Climb back into boot
17, Wrestle screw and drill into position and finally pull the trigger.
18, Wipe bead of sweat from brow and thank god that there is only another 9 screws to put in.

Hey, if you want a job done properly then my customers had to pay top dollar for it!
