Not 100% sure yet, been looking at the pioneer DEH-P6850MP (I think thats the code lol). jb have them for $429, but should be able to get them down to <400. Any other hu that people can suggest. I'm looking at spending around $400

Just keep in mind that the DEH-P6950IB has been offically release on MONDAY 5th Feb.

And can do you one for $479.00 or the DEH-P7850BT for the same money.

    HUGE Difference

Firstly the 6950IB is FULL SPEED IPOD no need for the Ipod adaptor .. full controls of the ipod via the HU... ALPINE dont even do that.

    3 RCA

And the best part I think is that they are AAC tracks playable from a CD

Meaning that you can load you CD full of itunes and play them direct from the HU.... no other brand does that!

Plus a host of other features over the 6850MP

which means if the 6850 will suffice...you can get it for an even better price!

i have only been into car audio for 1.5 years and i already odnt see the point in all these new models. i go into jb and ask about distorsion figures not features.
what i am getting at is go for build quality over features. some features arte a given such as preouts and their voltage (controversial issue of that) but will you really buy an ipod if you dont have one already just to use with your new h/u?
