hey guys
wen i decide to update the Calais' stereo, is there any way oi can adapt a new model head unit to work with the standard wheel controls for volume and radio? i also have a 1o stacker in the boot, which i'm sure will connect with some head units, but is there any way to get the wheel controls to work with a new headunit?
also, is there a way to make the radio controls in a VS work with the CD player, like in the VT? Dad's VT Calais can change CD tracks on the wheel, but mine was only designed initially for radio station use. has anyone set this up, and if so, what would i need to do with the standard head unit? btw, the volume works in all modes, CD, Radio, etc
any help appreciated guys thanx in advance

with only being 1 model apart would you be able to get the whole stereo/steering controls out of a vt? and just hook ur stacker up to that? meh i dont know much bout car audio but seems like it would be possible
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
dont think so mate, cos the vt had a 2 din head unit, whereas the vs had only a 1 din head unit.
thanks anyway mate

good question. i'm interested to know too. if the up and down buttons could change cd tracks i would be happy.
