Need Help With Installing Monitor

Hi,
I have a JVC DVD player and have just purchased a KV-M705 7" monitor for it. i can get it powered up, i can get the menu but cannot seem to get a picture. I have connected the AV1 input on the screen to the Video output on the head unit and still cannot get a picture . I have tried selecting both AV inputs on the monitor but still get no picture. Any help would be much appreciated.

have you got the handbrake wire connectetd and the handbrake on? If your hust in testing phase then wire your screens earth and the handbrake wire together momentarily and see what happens then. Now try it. Of course once your done, wire the handbrake wire upto the handbrake

u dont have to connect it to ur handbrake ive just connected mine to ground and works perfect.

you do have to connect it to your handbrake to remain legal.
