this may sound stupid, but how do you bridge a amp
my amp has:
Left +
Left -
Right +
Right -
at the moment my sub is only being powered by 160w from the left channel. in the book it says if bridged 320w ,
do i connect a peice of wire from left - to right + then the speaker cable from left + right -. if that makes sense.
i drew a crappy picture in case you guys have no clue what im talking about.
which one is correct. number 1 or number 2

lol, neither are correct.
Seeing as your amp says it can be bridged then if you look at the terminals it will often times point to TWO terminals that must be used for correct bridging. If not then you can use what terminals you like. But here is the deal. You must use ONE positive from one channel and the Negative from the other channel. So you will have two terminals EMPTY

Yeah it will be a very easy fix for you. Currently you'd have you speaker cables going to the + and - of one channel... just take out the wire in the - terminal and move it over to the - terminal of the right channel. Successful bridge.. too easy!
most amps these days will show which connections to use to bridge it underneath the speaker connections where it shows which is Left and Right channel. If that makes sense......
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
