I'm stumped I have just set my crossover on an alpine CDA-9835 HU and put in the cd. When it plays now the subs sound great, but for some reason the woofers for the spront splits and the rear speakers are playing the high range instead of mid range. I've checked the crossovers incase I had the wiring wrong but no its not that, have i done something stupid to make it do this????

Excuse the stupid question - what does "wired out of phase" mean?
Also, to the OP: did you get it working? What was the problem?
There are no stupid questions, young grasshopper, only stupid answers:
The term phase is used to describe the position of two sound waves relative to each other. If the speakers are wired 'out of phase' cancellations can occur resulting in lack of sub/mid bass depending on what is actually out of phase.
