    g'day not sure if this is the right place to post but im hoping somone can give me a website or something relating to the frequencies for uhf police use, i have a cb/ scanner in my car and want to program police frequencies thanks boys

    Is that the kinda thing your after? I believe it is illegal to monitor police frequencies....... google is your friend, dont know if its correct though, pretty old - try and find out This is bound to be deleted before you read it i suspect

    its not illigal in any way shape or form
    its fully ok
    your only not aloud to use it for criminal gains

    thats true...it's perfectly legal to won one.
    But, if you show up at a crime scene with the scanner in your car...you might get away with it....show up at another one and kiss it good-bye.

    I know for a fact that police now use digital scanners (here in vic anyway) so unless you have a very expensive digital scanner you wont have much luck. Unlucky me bought a $300 uniden scanner about 2 months before the police upgraded to digital

    I get aussie police in nz sometimes on 75.525 cross talk due to weather this is our frequency where I am .can get it on old radios out of hilux utes pretty much any old jap car with the lower frequency radio and the standard car earial and a speaker west coast of south island dont know what area of oz it was though that I was listening too.

    Interesting... i always thought it was illegal, you live and learn. Azzfox is correct though, wouldnt bother in vic - its encrypted or something

    yeh as was said before the vic police have gone digital so have mfb (metro fire brigade) but C.F.A (country fire authority) still use analoge, digital scanners will cost you bout $900 if your lucky wait a few months cheaper versions will come out as always
