    Default Bridging 4ch amp

    Hey all,

I'm in the market for upgrading my audio system in my VS.

At the moment, i have a pioneer deh-p6750mp h/u, with stock speakers.

    I wanna get:
    - MTX US-XT12-04 12" sub (250w RMS)
    - Precision Response AA-0426 4ch amp (4x130w RMS, 2x380w RMS bridged)
    - Pioneer TS-C1625 6" splits (??w RMS)
    - Rear spkrs??

Now with powering these spkrs, i wanna bridge 2ch to the sub and put 2ch normally to the splits. Is this possible?

    Thanks
    Nath

Yes Most common setup going probably. The only thing to note is usually must buy a sub capable of being wired at 4 ohm (since yours is 4 ohm SVC this is all good.

Thanks Joe, just wanted to check.

I've had a change of heart with the components.

    Now I am considering getting:
    - MTX SLH-T4512-A 12" sub (225w rms)
    - JBL CS60.4 amp (??w rms bridged)/- Precision Response AA-0426 4ch amp 2x380w RMS bridged)
    - Pioneer TS-C1625 6" splits (60w RMS)
    - Pioneer TS-A1671S 6" rears (35w RMS)

Default New sound system, does it seem alrite?

    Hey all,

Just got quoted for a new sound system for the VS.

    I am considering getting:
    - MTX SLH-T4512-A 12" boxed sub (225w RMS) --> pumps hard
    - JBL CS60.4 amp (4x60w RMS, ??w RMS bridged) --> not sure about this, couldn't test it
    - Pioneer TS-C1625 6" splits (60w RMS) --> listened to these, they are great
    - Pioneer TS-A1671S 6" rears (35w RMS) --> ok, but they're only rear fill

Its about $1300 installed w/amp wiring (strathfield)

Is this a good deal? Are there any components I should steer away from?
I have a slight question mark on the amp (i may be better to go for the MTX 704X ($30 more)?).

    Any feedback would be great.

Go the reponce amp u posted earier, that JBL one wont have the power to run the sub properly, u will be cookin ya amp.

Or look at a JBL 75.4 4ch 135watt/ch, ive got one picked it up cheap works good.

That JBL amp will be good for speakers but not tha sub.

    Thanks for the reply calais,

If i did get the response amp, would i be overpowering the 6" splits?. It is rated at 4x130wrms i think (2x380wrms bridged), so the sub would be sweet, but the 6" are only 60wrms. Would the MTX amp (704X) be a better option, coz the sub only requires 112.5-225wrms power from the amp (http://www.mtxaudio.com/caraudio/pro...hunder4500.cfm) and it would not overpower the speakers like the jaycar might?

nah you wont overpower the splits with the jaycar, just dial the gain down until you find a sweet spot

Yeah the jaycar will over power the speakers by heaps with gain up,could be safe but i wouldnt.

I would get 2 amps 60-80x4 for speakers and sumfink thats around 200-250w for sub, just get a mono for sub

If it was my money i would be at jaycar, get a 4x50 for speakers n prolly the 4x130 n bridge ch 1&2 for sub n have 3&4 waiting for another sub.

U just gotta match ya amp rms to speaker rms
