Default Power Supply to amp in boot.

    Hi guys,
To some people this might be such as easy thing but...
I have a VS commodore Berlina series 2.
I’m currently in the process of installing a new sound system to my car.
I am having real trouble running the power cable from the battery at the front to the boot of the car where my amp is placed. If any1 can please guide me in how I get the power cable though the firewall I think its called and how I can run the wire under the carpet down the side? Some help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Nick.

There is a rubber gromit to the right side of the brake booster thingy, I found it was easier to push it out from inside the car than wat it was to try take out from in the bay.

Yeah there is a gromit like calais_cruzin said. its spare if your car is an auto, if its manual then the hole will be used for the clutch.

Once you have got the power cable through the firewall, run it down the drivers side of the car. I put mine underneath that plastic kick pannels that run down the whole side under both front and back doors. Ya just gotta squeeze the sides of it together and pull pretty hard on it and it unclips. Saves going under the carpet. I pulled my back seat out and ran the cable under that through a hole to the boot then when the seat is back in its all covered and out of sight.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people

or you could drill a small hole through the firewall and run the cable through a grommet. i'm not sure on the legalites of this though
