amp flickering

hey all,

my sub amp in the last couple of days has started flickering on and off non stop and was wondering if you guys would know what it is,
it only just started the other day when i had to slam on my brakes and now the subby just makes like a pulseing sound as the amp flicks on and off

Most likely a loose connection. You are just going to have to check them all. Power at the battery, power at the amp, ground at the amp, ground at the chassis (especially) and the remote at the amp, remote on the back of the head unit. No-one is going to be able to tell you where it is, you will just have to go searching. Just do a visual inspection and while it is turned on, wiggle the wire, see if it flicks on/off.

yeah do what kopper said. I would probably start with the ground cable, as most amp problems i have encountered have been a result of a bad grounding. Make sure the metal to which your ground cable is connected is nice and clean. Get some sandpaper or a wire brush and give it a good clean.

Otherwise just do the checks that kopper said and you should find it sooner or later
