The parcel shelf rattling against the window is hard to fix... I've been trying to work out an easy fix for ages, but it seems like you need to put some sort of padding (thin foam or reupholster) where the shelf touches the glass. I had a pro tell me I needed to reupholster the whole parcel shelf to fix it.

Yeah i have a similar problem, the boot top rattels from outside the car, inside the car it sounds fine, but out side all you can hear is rattelling with the bass, i have added extra screws to the numberplate which solved some of the problem but it still rattely pretty bad. Would a rubber mat or something under the subs help?

    i had the same problem
but it was my number plate, back bumper and garnish
all i did was tighten the screws and with the bumper i made wooden moulds that made the bumper really stiff and not move
since then it doesn rattle anymore.
so try and place a piece of mdf or somethng between what is rattling.

Dynamat creates a "sonic barrier" that restores dynamic range lost to road noise. When you stop road noise and vibration, you clearly hear more of the sounds you want - like music, navigation systems, mobile video and cell phones.

Be EXTREMELY careful about using expanding foam in your boot lid braces. That can expand too far and actually put small buckles in your boot lid.

Dynamat or Stinger sound deadener.. Its adhesive on one side so its easy to use. Just cut to size and stick.

to the under side of boot lid, everywhere, its stop soudn escaping the car, which stops the rattles.

Dont know it it would help the rattling shelf tho.

    But will stop boot rattles

It actually absorbs sound and reflects some too. It adds weight to the metal panels so that they don't vibrate, if they don't vibrate the sound is either reflecting off or being absorbed... In this case it's doing both as the Dynamat is rubbery which absorbs vibrations(sound).
