Default how should i set this up

    hey
well ive got a few amps in the car atm and was wondering what shold go where
mono block= subs ( i no that one)
kicker 2 channel 200wrms that currently is doing nothng
    sony explode 180wrms = 6x9's
    theres only 2 subs and 2 6x9's.
i wanna get splits, so should i sell the kicker and sony and get a 4 channel amp?

Many will disagree but if it was me, i would do the following: sell the sony and run the 6x9's off the HU high passed if possible (or sell them too). Buy some good quality splits and run them off the two channel kicker. Keep your monoblock for the subs naturally.

Why run 6x9s and a sub? waste of moneys! Cheaper and will sound better if you do it my way

Probably not. Have a bit of a google, for certain gauges there are certain currents that they can put through. You will find that most people go overkill. Most wire is rated for DC too, but sound is not DC. Wire, like most electronics, can handle more power in short bursts.

A length of wire has a certain amount of resistance. To keep these resistances down, you can either go thicker wire, or shorter distance. The wiring distance in a car is tiny too.
Have a google on "wire currents" or something similar. That should give you a better idea about how much current can go through a certain gauge of wire.

A better battery is only going to be a benefit if the one you have now is struggling. If not, it is fine, upgrading is not going to do a thing except make your wallet lighter. Just remember the golden rule, replace your battery every 2 years for reliability.
