    Default JL Aido Or JVC

Hey guys sick of whats in my car atm...being pioneer...and ive been thinking of turantulla speakers all round...buh..not sure if i can afford it..so ive also been looking at the JL Audio and the JVC speakers...just wondering what u guys think of each, and ur personal experiences with them. The JL Audio speaker i listeneed to in JB-HI-FI cranked a lil bit betta then the JVC..but had to be careful amping it..as it was a low wattage speaker

Dunno bout speakers, but in subs JL is the go.....they go a lot better then most other subs, and I've never heard a bad word about JL. As I've never listened to JL speakers I honestly don't know wat they're like....but I have so much trust in JL's gear that I would buy a set without even listening to them coz I know JL is good quality gear.

    So overall I say JL.

yes i think ur right, thats wot they guy said at the store, he cranked the 300W JVC splits and switched it straight to the 100W JL audio splits, and the JL splits cranked a bit harder even at the lower wattage they were, but he said i had to be careful if i bought them about amping them due to their low wattage...buh i just wanted to hear everyone else's opinions.

if its the same jl splits im thinking of then i would get them for sure i heard a set of $300 jl splits in jb @ magregor and the whole shop turned to have a listen they where that loud and clear he was playin (money for nothin) and even when the gutiar distortion kicked in they were awesome and clean. as for jvc i can say i honestly dont know never really heard any music through them before but imo go the jl !

jl is a far more superior brtand against jvc, i would rate jvc too pioneer, jl audio are very high end car audio, coustics is entry level kicker is mid range and jl is advanced (all the same brand) jl is pretty much up there with rockford mb boston ect.

yes jvc and pioneer inthe same class.......
jl is up there with boston & mb........

dear god, this is a bit of a problem.

get the speakers that sound beter, who cares who makes them.

why not just get a good set for the from is you dont have the money for good speakers all round (good speakers in the back are a waste though).

Very true Garfa, Go and listen to the 2 speakers in question and make a decision with your ears instead of letting everyone else make it for you. To you a $150 pair of Jaycar splits might sound better than $800 + Focal speakers. Its all about personal choice.

mate you nearly make jaycar sound like a bad thing there. Listening to different speakers at different shops may make a speaker that will perform like crap in your car sound better than something that is much more suited to your setup dependant on numerous factors. Try to listen to the ones you are trying to decide between in the same shop on the same sound board with a few different types of music.

And garfa as far as the JL sponsorship goes, he asked for an opinion between two he obviously likes so it doesn't leave alot of room for recommendation, but most brand names only get a name for obvious reasons, some though do get it with good marketing cough, cough.......sony.

yes and the jaycar speakers might be more suitedto your aplication!
really though, we can generalise that sound boards give a bad impression of driver performance and usually there is not much different between boards.
just get a set of speakers, the best part is that there will always be a better pair for you and better value than the last set bought.
sony have used their company image on their car audio products. sony is cheap is the car audio world. cheap speaker, cheap performance; its all relative!
