Problem with Pioneer AVH-P5950DVD!!! Help!

Ok my DVD player has been working perfectly but today I went to watch some videos on the Ipod through the DVD player and the screen was just black, no video. Tried a DVD, same thing.

When the handbrake is down it shows the normal blue/black screen with the error message but that dissappears when I put it up but just a blank screen. If I touch the screen the menu pops up and everything and the audio works perfect. Backgrounds work but no DVD Video or iPod Video is working.

What could be the issue?

I've messed around with settings, tried resetting it. Nothing helping. I'll pull it out tomorrow and check the plugs etc. at the back but I dont see how anything at the back could effect only the DVD Video.

Well I disconnected the battery for half an hour this morning and after I connected it all back up, its working again....

But if anyone knows, is the DVD player meant to be able to play video's off of an iPod?
