    Default sub boxes-builders bog

    g-day guys

just want to know what i can use to smooth out my sub boxes before i re-upholster them, reason being before i had real thick fabric which didnt show the imperfections of my box making abilities, ie didnt show the joins in the mdf, or the protruding screws, however i am now using a metalised fabric which is really thin and thus will show all the imperfections, even if i do counter-sink all the screws...whats available ie builders bog....wat is it i have only ever herd of it....is it just bog or???will it withstand constand bass???were do i source it from......thanks in advance....

with counter sinking screws it should be ok, but dont use it on seams,

supercheap sell it, comes in many names, its just a 2 part compound that cures hard and can be filed or sander to fill holes or shape moulds

With the boxes being mdf I would just use wood putty over the screw holes and seems then give it a good sand. You could also consider using some thin foam underneath the fabric, it will hide a multitude of sins and still looks good

thanks guys, already tryed the underlay(foam) but it doesnt work well with this fabric, sort of makes the fabric Pucker...wave... doesnt sit well so i want to staple it to a hard surface because any deflection sort of changes the effect of the fabric...didnt want to use putty i reckon it might crumble from the constant bass......ill see how i go thanks again
