replacing hu on vt

ok this may have been covered before but if in doudt always ask i say
im about to replace my stock hu in vt with something else is there anything i should know ie will the ecu play up with not having the security pulse from the hu (i know another car brand doesnt have this prob) but read somewhere where others have had troubles in vt ect
if so how do i fix
also still new to this forum and havent read everything yet but is there a section anywhere with wiring diagrams ect

No you wont have any troubles with the ecu. i think your thinking of the security code on the factory units where you are required to put in when you reset it after disconnecting the battery. for wiring colours here
