Problem with Alpine AMP

I have an Alpine V12 MRV-345 and up until now it has been running smoothly. I have rearranged my setup slightly so i had removed the +12V and earth cables.

Now when i reconnect them and turn the power on i get nothing but "VLT" on the screen which is meant to indicate that the voltage was too high so the amp shutdown. I am running the amp off of a standard 12 volt battery with no capacitor or anything. The voltage display on the amp reads "12.2 volts" when the car is off and "14 volts" when the car is running. It runs a power lead straight from a battery via an 80 amp fuse. It earths in the boot. I have never had this problem before and it is basically an identical setup as when it was working. Any suggestions of what the problem may be? Thanks!
