    Default speakers not fitting in vs door pods

    hey

    just ripped my door trim off to install my new jbl splits only to discover they dont fit inside my vs door pods, and none of the holes line up. any1 know how you can get around this? they are 6" speakers

    sand/file some of the plastic out so they fit, and make new holes for the screws to go into.

    next option(probably a better one aswell), make/buy a set of mdf spacers and **** off the plastic one.

    thanks mate, its really ****ing ****ting me. i gotta hav my car drivable by 2nite cose i gotta go 2 work, and its in 20 million pieces lol.

    nah man. i live away from my home all week because of work and i have no tools or anywhere to do the work during the week. im gonna hav a crack at it 2morra though.

    That shouldnt matter. I fitted my 6.5" Jaycar splits in without a spacer or hacking up the pod. It just takes alot of fiddling around.

    thats what i ended up doing. had to cut some of the metal off speaker but no drammas. bit of a trick to gettin them in but worked it out in the end

    I thought the hole was 5 3/4"....Maybe the 6" I have in the shed will fit after all.

    stock speakers are 6 inch, not 6.5 or 5 3/4".

    it depend son the speaker as to if you need to cut the pod, jaycar oens may fit but his jbl ones didn't.

    i would cut the pod, NEVER the speaker, for obvious reasons.
