    Default Amp wiring and firewall

    hello everyone,

    I have a question regarding the main power amp cable from the battery to the boot. Where abouts in the firewall should i feed the amp power cable to the boot to power up my sub?

    I have a VR commodore

    CD tuner: Alpine CDA-9884E with Ipod interface
    Front speakers: Alpine Type R SPR-17S 6.5 component speakers, powered by a avant-garde 23dxi 2 channel amplifier - 2x51 watt RMS
    Rear speakers: pioneer coaxials connected to tuner
    Subwoofer: Alpine Type R SWR-1222D 12" 2 ohm dual voice coil 500 watts RMS powered by a response precision 2x150 watts RMS 2 channel amp bridged to 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms

    if your cars an automatic then there should be a spare rubber grommet where your clutch would have been if your car was a manual. just pop out the rubber grommet and drill a hole in the middle to feed the wire through.

    um where abouts is this rubber grommet? is it next to the brake booster?

    its located on the right lower side of the brake booster. its a rectangular shaped grommet with curved ends.

    yeah. its oval, about 20mm by 35mm from memory
