Hey guy's i'm currently looking at buying my first sub + amp setup, i've go the wires layed and everything, head unit and all. All thats now left is buying a good amp and sub.
I went to my local JB-HiFi and Autobarn and this is the selection i came out with.

or
Kenwood Mono Amp (300W x 1 at 4ohms (500W x 1 at 2ohms)

or

Now i saw the JL Audio gear and also thought it'd sound **** being such a low RMS rating but supposivly it pumps... so there the products i have to choose from... if anyone could post what they'd pick and why or any tips for me too consider as i want to make sure I'm picking the best out of the selection i can
Cheers for the read guys and thanks if you post a reply !
alpine and pioneer sub (not so sure on your sub selections though) the alpine monoblock for sure, **** off the jl (jl are really top end but for the wattage, no way)
Out of those amps i would take the alpine mono block.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people
Out of those 3 amps i'll get the alpine for sure. Pretty sure their power ratings are underated really badly as well. even though it goes 400wrms, you'll probably end up with 500wrms if your lucky. all depends on the birthsheet
the rrp on the alpine is $350. jb are full of crap.
the kenwood would have a much better headroom and hence improve quality a bit.
also at a glance i would go the kenwood sub as well.
but really have a listen for yourself, its your money, others opinions on sound should not matter.
