    We tend to get a thread on this almost every month. Either head down to your local auto parts store and buy a window winder removal tool or attempt to remove the circlip that holds the back of the handle onto the winder shaft with a screw driver or a rag.

    Here's a link that might give you an idea;

    I tried the rag method but it gave me the ****s. I used 2 small screw drivers to pry open the clips and I had all window winders off in under 10mins

    it is between the handle and the spacer, you need to push the trim back to see it. I found a rag works the best, slide it between the handle and spacer and it should catch the clip.

    I used the rag method to pop the clip out on the weekend on my VS, very easy, and free.

    To put the handle back on, push the clip back into the handle so the prongs point toward knob, then just push back onto the shaft.

    a thin wire clip should pop out, you have to pry the spacer back so u can see what your doing!! and push the tool against the open end of the clip. not that hard. after that the winder will easily slide off.

    No. The back of the clip will be visible between the spacer and the handle once you have pushed the tool in. You push it from the knob side, between the handle and the spacer as said.

    nope.. and to put it back on just insert the circlip back onto the winder and push it onto the shaft till it locks back in place. once you get the winder off you will see how simple it goes back on

    another easy method is to get a small screw driver, and bend it.

    worked a treat.

    OK guys hes already bought the removal tool, and if used properly it should work better than a fork or rag/cloth.

    1. Insert the tool in between the door handle and the spacer (round plastic washer thing).
    2. Put the tool all the way in untill it wont go any further.
    3. Just move the removal tool around in a circle untill a little circlip either pops out or becomes dislodged (you should be able to part of it).

    Look, heres two pics that explain where to insert the tool and what the winder looks like
