Amp Help Please

hi im looking at getting a relatively cheap amp for the speakers in my car i looked on ebay and couldnt help but notice this BN BOSS AUDIO 1200WATT 4 CHANNEL TITANIUM CHROME AMP!! - eBay 4 Channel, Car Amplifiers, Car Audio, Video, Electronic, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 23-Nov-07 20:03:52 AEDST)
has anyone heard used or heard anything about the amp if so could you please let me know thanks alot

Most car audio people with even a bit of knowledge wouldn't touch Boss with a 10 foot pole. I think it has got to do with the reliability of them. Anyhow, it's your choice, so choose wisely.

Yeah honestly i wouldn't go near it, not worth the hassle. Its well worth spending an extra few dollars in the long run. If you're on a really tight budget try something like this http://www.strathfield.com/images/Ca...112/JPG/p4.jpg (Sony 4 chan for $188) still not the best quality, but much much better than the boss stuff.. just my 2cents

every boss amp should have a fire extinguisher included. no joke tho.. they are known for overheating and in some cases catching on fire.

On a budget, the Jaycar amps cannot be beaten, hands down.

Eats Pioneer, Clarion , Kenwood etc, at the same pricepoint, for breakfast!

Boss? or anything at all from ebay = scam and the need for a fire extinguisher as noted above, and some good earmuffs to protect your ears from the hideous noise they make.

Great quality amps are the cornerstone of a good system and cant be skimped on.

Id go second hand quality before cheap and new anyday.
