Hey guys... just looking at some opinions for Alpine speakers and whether S type or R types are better? Cheers

The order goes Type E, then S, then R, then X and surprisingly the price goes up in the same order
Ok awesome - thanks heaps guys. I'm looking at putting a whole new alpine system into my car (only because i can't afford focals)
somes like the type R over the X - they are very different sounding speakers...

they are different in that the r types seem to have a better bass response then the x types but the x types produce a clearer more accurate sound but at the end of the day as most people will tell you " pick wot sound good to you not someone else" good luck with the decision

the type X are very clear up higher. they can get harsh on the ears very quickly. they are nice but i dont feel they are a rounded sound. there are better speakers for the money.
sounds like an R type package for mewas looking at an S type but i didn't know which one was better... thanks fellaz
