VT 6 SPEAKER stereo ? is it possible
orite, for a LONG time now ive been dreaming of having a 6 speaker stereo with a nice DVD flap out deck, a few amps a 2 NIIICE 10" sealed subs for backup bass!
i know people HAVE done this sort of thing before but,
can someone explain how i go about wiring up 6 bloody speakers do a deck,
ive seen the back of the new alpine decks, they have FRONT RCA out, REAR RCA out, and SW RCA out.. wieres the MIDRANGE ?
what my plan is to have MB splits in the front doors, MB 6" speakers in the back doors, and some nice 6x9's in the backshelf, although the cutout on the shelf looks BIGGER then 6X9, i mite not even USE subs because there will be enough bass from the shelf and back doors.
any suggestions ?
do i need a PXA, because my cousins competed in sound comps acros australia with like 15 speakers.. subs amps etc, hes used pxa's and i just thought perhaps this wont happen without one.
first off why do you want 6 speakers?
second, whats you budget?
why would u want 6 speakers -.- its pointless and if ur looking for good sound id go for splits int eh front run off an amp 6x9 in teh rear run with an am ( only useing high freq ) and 2 12 inch in the boot and have the cetre consol down =] haha if the 6x9 have bass going into them it usualy interfers with the bass from subs and if u dont want subs just get good quality 6x9 and amp em up!

well first start from the head unit if u want 6.1 ull need to get a dvd player that reads 6.1 not just throwing out another rear chanel, and in a car ull have trubble mounting a set of speakers right next to your left and right side so your ears wont be able to tell the difrence of the 6x9s and the rear doors very well, so if u want some suround sound experience get a 5.1 head unit and just run that single front center speaker of the head units center chanel and the rest of amps, ok some lodgic for 3 pair RCA outs
front = are the speakers infront of you? if so there front
Rear = are the speakers behind you? if so there rear
Subs = well subs :P
a car is a to small of and enfiroment to run a true 6.1ch enviroment 5.1 yeh just,
front well put ur front spk's amp rca in to the front
and sub to sub
as for the rear you could get a rca dubble adaptor (1 Male Joint in head unit, 2 Female joints to the 2 rear amps) or some or most amps have rca in and out so just go in one amp and out into the next
why bother with 6 speakers in teh firstplace tho!

well when we are talking with small amounts of speakers (eg...4) the exstra 2 speakers maks a fairly big difrence and if they point all in the right direction u wont have a quiet spot in your car and sound volumes changeing in difrent positions in your car

if you buy good quality front with nothing too special for the rears you get better sound stage. unless their is a lot of money to be thrown around then you will not get anything good with 6 speakers over quality fronts with reasonable rears.
the oens i have in the rear sound great when amped they were only 150 when i bought them i think

to add to that there just 6 1/2 inch componants tehre sno need for 6 speakers ( im working on good quality splits for the front)
