    Default Front speakers

I want to put in some speakers in my front doors. I have some 6" speakers but not sure how i can put them in. Ive read that i can get VS door pods, but is there an easier way? I seen some speaker spacer things in super cheap. Would it be possible to just cut holes in door trim and fit the speakers onto the door trim?

it is possible to stick speakers straight into the doors, there is a hole in the door behind the trim but im not sure what the largest speaker size is that you can fit in there. iv only seen it done so im not sure if they cut a larger hole or not. (dont cut!!!)

but other than that I would use pods or spacers, preferably pods because I rekon plain spacers look yuck. well.. so does sticking them straight into the doors. I think that pods is your best option

Personally I think that the VR/VS speaker pods look better than any of the generic spacers or pods I have seen at places like autobarn.

yeah the VR/S pods look good (as long as you get the mesh grills), but hes asking for an alternative.

im not a fan of the flimsy plastic that holds the speakers in them tho. you can make custom MDF replacements but thats too much stuffing around easier to buy some nice solid pods.

If you are feeling creative, you could buy the spacers then use fibreglass to make a custom pod around them. There are some sweet looking designs around if you look hard enough

How much do the vr/vs pods go for at the wreckers these days? There not hard to put in? Im strapped for cash at the moment. Got the speakers just need to install them, thats why i wanted a way of doing it cheap. I was also thinking, the door trims are pretty flimsy in the VNs. do they rattle much with speakers in them? i wont be sound deadening them or anythin
