Hey guys.
Basically i set up a second amp recently, went for a drive and it seemed a little strange. The car was a little unresponsive at times. So i turn on the aircon and my car stalls.. im no autoelec but i have to assume its drawing too much power..
Ill tell you what i have in the car, a 60x4 rms JBL CS60.4 and a V power 400w rms monoblock.
if anyone knows what could be wrong with my car/install please let me know.
have you tried disconnecting the amp to see if thats the actual problem.
no i havent yet, i just assumed considering it worked when i just had the mono. ill have to give it a go but just wanted to know if anyone has any ideas as to why, cheers
i wouldnt think that would draw so much power unless u did a really shoddy wiring job lol...or your alternator is on its way out

MIGHT be fuel pump. iv heard a similar story, couldnt drive with the stereo on or the car would run crap and stall. turned out to be fuel pump.
yeah, i can play it while the car isnt on.
but as soon as i try and drive with it on it doesnt work.
music plays but sub seems to cut out now and then and the car runs strangely. when i put the A/C on it stalls.
by the way it worked with just the mono and subs.
it could be the wiring job because i did it myself.. but i did the mono perfectly fine and all i did was replace the 8ga with 4ga.
could it be because i used a dist. block running a 4ga into 2 8ga cables (very short) to the two amps.
No. something is wrong with your car.

I would get the alternator checked out. Or even look at the feed wire from the alternator.
yeah i think i might leave this to the pro's. gona get it checked out, thanx guys.
I had the same problem in my Sandman. Turned out to be the altenator, put a new one in and didnt have a problem afterwards.
i also had a mate with the same problem, was his alternator, guess all signs are pointin to your alternator...
