Difference between 2Way and 3way

What is the difference between 2way speakers and 3way ?

A two way speaker has two speakers in it
a three way speaker has 3 speakers in it
not just concentric paper cones but speakers with voice coils and all

The irony is that only females can hear the third very high range tweeter , apparently.

So if i do spend the extra money , chances are i wont hear a difference, however my GF will be able to, hell she wants the better sound she can pay the extra...

LOL thats the spirit dont waste your money on 3 ways , spend the extra on front speakers instead.
