why do you want a kill switch?
does it need to isolate the amp completely or just turn it off?

Aftermarket amps and portable sub boxes are illegal / defectable in some states (something bout an unsecured load), rather than getting rid of them us car modders put a switch in so while driving you can still have loud music but turn the amp off so theres no bass, not so noticeable to the boys in blue. Also when Im driving my daughter round (to and from childcare ect) and driving to and from work (I only work 5 mins down the road from home) I dont want my sub on so a switch is the perfect solution. Putting a switch on the remote wire tricks the amp into thinking that the stereo isnt on so no noise.

I put my switch next to the elec window switches with one of those aircraft / rocket switches.... Easily accessable....

the reson i wanted a switch was becasue sometimes if i got the car parked an wanna listen to music with the car not running the amp will drain the battery and i wont be able to start the car so i thought if there was way to make the amp turn off when i didnt want it, it would be great and also it give u more control over it so if i dun feel like big bass i have the power to turn it off. Are sub boxes illigal? neva knew that i live in vic anyway thanks for ur help guys

would love to see that stand up in court!
so should i strap my golf clubs/toolbox/whatever down in my metal boot officer? might punch through the metal frame and seat and fly out and hit someone!
