i just installed my kicker mono block but it doesnt seem to turn off when the car is off, green light stays on, and my battery is now dead because of it, i previously had just the 4 channel running so i used a dist block and hooked up the mono aswell, never had any problems so i know the wiring is fine.
Perhaps it would be useful to describe how you have the amp wired?
Does the amp just have a live feed or is it triggered by a 12V source, and if so what is it triggered by?
If it is triggered by the radio it would be useful to check that the 12V trigger wire is dropping away to zero when you turn the radio off, or indeed seeing that the amp switches off when you remove the trigger wire. If it doesnt turn off when you remove the trigger wire the problem is in the relay in the amp, if it does, the problem is in the HU.
If its the amp relay, then possibly a cheaper alternative just to supply it with a normal 12V automotive(with suitable current rating) using the same trigger as before rather than get the amp repaired

A ,ate of mine had this problem with another amp, he had rewired it and 1 strand of the power cable was touching the remote input, it was enough to make the amp stay on.
Check your remote wire, if it is fine i cant see any reason for the amp staying on. Maybe a faulty amp?
RUN41T: Real cars don't power the front wheels... they lift them
have you wired the amp remote wire or amp rem as the manuals call it from the amp too the headunit if that isnt plugged in in most cases you will still run power even known the car is shut off as your amp wire is directly hooked too the battery and the ground is on the body.
I reckon its the remote wire...
had the same problem when i first put mine in. while it was a long time ago i believe it was something to do with the remote wire.
