I have a pioneer h/u which is able to power a sub, just wondering how well the h/u can handle a sub is it worth doing.
Theres not much point running a sub straight off the headunit, you will need to get an amp to give the sub decent power and decent results.
If your on a budget then get a samll 10 , probably an 8 , and make sure it is a single 4 ohm coil , using the rear channels bridged it will get about 70-80 watts rms.
But always better with an amp.

You may want to read the specs a bit closer, usually if a h/u has a output feed for a sub its only a pre-amp line designed to feed an amp.

You may want to do your own research squizzy , as the Pioneer decks with MOSFET can indeed and are rated to be bridgeable on the rear channels.
