Default really new to car audio

Hi, I am completely new to car audio but I wanted to put some speakers into the parcel shelf of my VYII Berlina. My folks old berlina already had speakers in the rear but the new one doesnt.

How would i go about installing some and what ones should i install? I am not really going for a woofer atm but might in the future ('borrow' my parents one hooked to the 5.1 system). I just want some good quality speakers.

    Thanks in advance.

    gday mate
u can get 6x9's and put them in spaces in thre parcel shelf. they sound pretty good and will go hard when nott using a sub.
i think with the spacers u can screw them to the parcel shelf.
    hope it helps.

Also to connect them just disconnect the wires to the rear speakers on the doors and connect them there. that way the headunit doesn't have a fit by overloading them

    Yes, very easy job.
You'll need to remove the back seat and parcel shelf to do them but that takes all of 5 minutes.Just be careful when your cutting your parcel shelf for the grills.I did mine and they sound 110% better up there than in the back doors.

ok thanks for all the advice. What brand of 6x9's should i be looking into and is there a how to guide on how to do this?

Is there a way to run both the door speakers and the rear parcel shelf ones at the same time?

I run pioneer ones, nothing special just 280w max for about $99, i run them off an amp and they sound great. No need to run the rear doors i assure you but it could be done.
    This is what i did:
    1. remove the rear seat and back rest, then remove the parcel shelf to gain access to the mounting plates, punch out the plates with a small hammer and mount your 6x9's in.
    2. Cut out the parcel shef for your grills, be careful not to cut too much!
    3. You'll find the rear door speaker wires down the right hand sill under the plastic trimming next to the drivers seat, just tap into the wires and your pretty much done.

This is a quick guide, if you need anymore info pm me.
