Default Alpine 6.5 inch component set

    Hi guys,

I've just acquired a set of these for $250 from JB Hi-Fi. These speakers are unbelievable and do not distort at unbearable high volumes. I recommend them to anyone who is looking for a set of splits.

This is a question regarding the tweeters. I've got my tweeters blu-tacked on the corners of the dash and there surely must be a better alternative way in placing these tweeters somewhere more secure. Can anyone help me please?

    Thanks,
    My car audio:

CD tuner: Alpine CDA-9884E with Ipod interface
    Front speakers: Alpine Type R SPR-17S 6.5 component speakers, powered by a avant-garde 23dxi 2 channel amplifier - 2x51 watt RMS
Rear speakers: pioneer coaxials connected to tuner
Subwoofer: Alpine Type R SWR-1222D 12" 2 ohm dual voice coil 500 watts RMS powered by a response precision 2x150 watts RMS 2 channel amp bridged to 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms

get onto some good double sided tape - should do the trick. otherwise, not sure if they are in VR's but i know in VS's there are factory mounts for tweeters underneath the shroud between the windscreen and dash. this is probably the best place for them

hmmmm.... chewy would work a treat and on hot days you could change the position!
come on mate, screw them on! mark where you want them on the demister vents and then remove the vents and screw them on.

well, the vents on the demister panels are sealed up so I won't be putting them underneath. I thought about it and I'm going to buy some Velcro and stick them on the pillars.
