    Default Installation Prices

How much would you charge OR be expecting to pay to install a full car audio system which consisted of:

    -New head deck
    -Front Speakers
    -Parcel Shelf Speakers
    -Amplifier and wiring kit
-2 x subs in a ready made enclosure

    just curious, that's all.

    cheers!

At a guess i'd say around the $300-400 mark? I would avoid the cheaper ones as usually you only get what you pay for.

You should try and do the install yourself. It's very easy and there are plenty of guides and tutorials on how to it on each component in a car audio setup. Use the search button and you should be sweet and not to mention the money you'll save as well!
    My car audio:

CD tuner: Alpine CDA-9884E with Ipod interface
    Front speakers: Alpine Type R SPR-17S 6.5 component speakers, powered by a avant-garde 23dxi 2 channel amplifier - 2x51 watt RMS
Rear speakers: pioneer coaxials connected to tuner
Subwoofer: Alpine Type R SWR-1222D 12" 2 ohm dual voice coil 500 watts RMS powered by a response precision 2x150 watts RMS 2 channel amp bridged to 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms

lol, thats the thing, i KNOW how to do the installations.

Ever since i finished my custom boot install i've had mates of mates wanting me to install car audio equipment for them.

I just wanna know whats a decent asking price to do such a job and what price is asking tooo much.

I think a mate of mine paid $350ish for a headunit, 4 speakers and an amp install.
When i first got into car audio the place i bought my gear from quoted me $200 for a sub and amp install.
I know whay you mean, I done a full headunit/4 speakers/amp and sub install for a case of beer, took me all day. Plus done many other headunit/speaker installs for mates for next to nothing.
But you have to learn when to say NO, especially when a friend of a friend of a friend asking to do them. you soon get over the novelty of it all!

Oh and by the way, looking at your ride forum, you've just inspired me to remove my spoiler and use those plugs you bought from auto-barn and spray them with touch-up paint. Thank you so much, been looking for a solution!
