i got 2 12" poineer 150 rms subs and i priceion responce amp. the amp is
running 2 channel at 150 rms.
Purchase a DB meter from ebay and you'll get an accurate measure instead of an estimate![]()
My car audio:
CD tuner: Alpine CDA-9884E with Ipod interface
Front speakers: Alpine Type R SPR-17S 6.5 component speakers, powered by a avant-garde 23dxi 2 channel amplifier - 2x51 watt RMS
Rear speakers: pioneer coaxials connected to tuner
Subwoofer: Alpine Type R SWR-1222D 12" 2 ohm dual voice coil 500 watts RMS powered by a response precision 2x150 watts RMS 2 channel amp bridged to 500 watts RMS @ 4 ohms
True ^^^
Also depends on whether your sub box is ported or sealed too. Alot of people have 2 x 12" pioneer subs in their boots, but don't get much out of them. They are the most common. I run a single 12" JL W3-V3 in a home built ported box, and it ****s on quite a few of the twin 12" pioneer set ups i have heard.

add on another 3db for every doubling of the power.
2W/ 93dB,.......256W/114dB at 1 meter. Sounds a bit high?
Thats if the pioneers dont start doing funny things near maximum output and that you have ideal enclosures.
sound level meters? They are just microphones connected to meters? Depends where they are placed etc.
If youve got an old tape deck, with vu meters(they are calibrated in dB) and a mic you can get relative values, useful for deciding the increase or decrease between sources in dB rather than the absolute value. Even your average laptop comes with a decent sound editing program now that will have high resolution dB meters, probably get meaningful results even using the built in mic.
not enough to tell your friends about.
My single DD sub does 120 off 260rms. Just for comparison.
lol enough db to give u permenant hearing loss
wrecking VL COMMODORE 5 speed
FOR SALE : supra 5 speed box suite holden v8 $800
i got 4 kenwood 400wrms running at 450wrms each and i get about 134DB
i got the last time it was tested @ C4C4 133.6DB heance about 134DB, since then i have dynamatted the boot and tuned it a little so i'm guessing i would get higher now.
I have got 1 DD 1508 running at 525WRMS, Md Quarts splits in the front off the head unit and the whole car (Ute) has been sound deadened. And i can put out 148 db with a single Bass tone. not music.
honestly, Just buy 1 digital Designs 10inch and port the box. and you will be laughing.
wow at 148 db you should enter you car in db drags
most highest cars dont even get that
most top cars with 2-4 subz 8 batterys 4 amps get 140+ so your doing really good with 148
what machine tested your db termlab?
Termlab is the one mate, I do enter Db drags, when ever i can get time off work, and are free on the weekends. its hard tho mate. and dont get to much.
What you got in your car?
Im wanting to get a new head unit atm. thinking about alpines 9887, know much about it?
