Usually its worked fine, but 2 days ago when i put my USB in the USB port the screen flashed "READ FAIL".
Then a day later it worked again until that afternoon when it produced the "READ FAIL" message again, and that was with a SanDisk cruzer 2gig usb. So i went out and bought an Imation 2gig usb last night and again i get the "READ FAIL" message.
Anyone have an idea what it is and how to fix it?
mine does that every once and a while , i just pull it out and put it back in , works a treat
im not sure if this applies, but for my ps3, usb drives have to be formatted to fat32 and not ntfs otherwise it wont recognise it. you could try that ?
mine does it sometimes
Mine still does it every now and then. Starting to think it could be something to do with the computer rather then the headunit, but JVC never have an answer so i just have to cross my fingers when i use it. Right now trying different ways to make the bugger work.
What format are the drives in? Most headunits with USB require any USB drive (thumb drive or hard drive) to be FAT32 formatted, not NTFS or any other.
If it is NTFS or other, back up your data, and reformat it to FAT32.
