    Thumbs down Radio not working

    Guys,

I have a problem with my radio not working.

I had to jump start the battery once and then the Radio ask for the security pin. I tuped in the security pin three times and after my three times I was not back.. I have confirmed the PIN and VIN number as per the books on the car. I have also consulted Holden Direct and was adviced ti leane the ignition on accesaries and then try the PIN again, once the memory on the radio is erased.

I have been no succesful after all those instructions, can anybody tell me as how to get my Radio/Stereo system up and going.

The help is very much appreciated.

    Regards

Eureka, thanx for the reply mate.

Its the first time i have had this problem with my radio. more over i am owner of this car from past 2 months. the radio belongs to this car itself,i think according to the books and radio specs (manual).

this all happened when i had to jump start the battery and from then on, i am not able to play my radio.
Also, FYI i had the radio unplugged all night last night and i tried putting it back in this morning and again tried the PIN, but no success.

I dont know what to do next??

Hi, I have the same problem, the code used to work before and its certified using the car computer by the technician, but now it doesnt.
Funny thing is one day, randomly I tried entering 1111 as the radio code and believe it or not, it works for 3 mins and then shuts down automatically. can someone shed a light. thanx.

1111 is the standard for all radios (with the model).. gives you time to eject any CD's before removal or working on test bench..

I'm not even sure if holden will be able to help.. Might be a few calls to the manufacture
    Cheers,

I have heard that if you enter the pin incorrectly 3 times the radio locks and you must leave power to it (i.e. leave the car on accessories) for 1 hour before trying again! - Which is pretty much what holden told you!
