hey mate i got 1 of those subs in my car, and its flipin awesome, best sub i have had...to get the most out of it get the proper kicker sub box for it. u will need a very good amp if you want to run 2 of them cuz they are 400wrms each.
i've only got the one but i cant play music at full volume for more than 10 mins or my ears start to ache lol. 2 will be insane.

not too sure bout the amp, it would have to be a very good one to power 2 tho...i got a responce 2 channel amp bridged to 1 channel (2 channel it has 150wrms bridged it has 500wrms) this amp was $250 from jaycar it won 1st place in some car audio mag for bang 4 ya buck or something...i spose u could get 2 of them or 1 big mother.

from personal experience they are a really good sub, worth the money you pay for them but like all subs they need to be powered right and in a properly designed box and they will sound fantastic.....

note: im pretty sure comp vr is the best round kicker you can get without going crazy and importing...

i have the that kicker sub and it doesnt sound as good as i hoped i have the 500wrms repsonse amp. the lights dim badly for some reason and it just doesnt punch as hard as i hoped it would. any tips how to make it sound better and what lpf frequecy sounds the best? i dont have a kicker box just a big vented box i got from autobahn.

its because the vented box is not made for the sub. Ported box has to be built to suit the subs specs whereas for sealed you can pretty much throw in any sub and it will sound "decent" enough. try building a custom box for it and it should sound better

lights dimming would have something to do with your alternator or battery or a bad earth connection, could be a bad earth from your battery to the body of the car possibly try running another wire from the negative terminal to the body. also they run twice as good if you use the proper kicker box as its suited to that sub.
