Default remote wire on headunit an other stuff???

ok well on my vs, previously i installed a new pioneer headunit, 280 watt 6' kenwoods in the front and, 350 watt 6x9' pioneers in the back its all fine. Now i bought a sub and an amp an im just having a few problems with putting it together. Firstly i have no idea which wire is the remote wire out the back of the headunit???? to get the amps power cable through the firewall whats the best way to do it??? and... shoving the wires from the back of the headunitt through to down in the footwells is also causeing me greif because the rca wires dont fit through the gaps!!! any help would majorly be apreciated!!!

With the cable thru the firewall, u should have a rubber gromet to the left side of brake booster for the clutch for manuals, put it thru there if u have a auto as most are.

With the remote wire, check ur wireing diagram manual u got with the h/u but most have the wire marked with a tag to show what one it is.

Run ur rca's on the opp side to the amp power cable.

U can just drill a hole in the firewall, but its defectecable in sum ppl eyes

ok thanks for that!!! coz wen i put the head unit it it buggered up the aerial so wen i got the car serviced i got them to wire the aerial to the headunit and im guessing they wired it to the remote thing, the aerial worked i just had no control of it going up and down so it just stayed down so im guessing when the sparkie sed he wired the aerial to the headunit he wired it to the remote wire on the head unit! i know which wire that is. Just one quesion about it... do i have to disconect that aerial wire now or can i just strip some back an connect the remote from the amp to it??? will both the amps remote and the aerial still work??

there should be 2 wires there, one for ariel one for amp.

Ur ariel should only come up when u select radio, other wise its on ur amp wire if i comes up when ever h/u is on

yeh its definatly connected to the remote, so will it cause problems if the headunit remote wire is conected to two things at once? like if u just strip a bit off that wire an connect the amp wire to it??

Your forgetting Pioneer heanunits only have one remote wire, not separate radio and amp/accessory's wires.

Yes that will be fine. They dont draw much current, only used to trigger stuff, That is what i have done with my amp and antenna. It should be the blue wire.
