    Default Calais VSII Eurovox 8491V plug

    Im taking the Eurovox MCC-8491-V HU out of my 97 Calais S2 and it has a small aerial like wire plugged in the back next to the proper aerial plug what is it for as I cant find any info on it are there specs on this unit also what Aerpro ISO converter plug can I use on this the regular VR-VS APP061 is a smaller plug is the VT plug used for high end VS HU and how do I get the aerial to work as my new HU only has 1 aerial relay connection calais aerial switch was built in to the eurovox HU thought the swap would be quick so may issues Cheers.

    Have a look under your passenger seat, if theres an amp there, its for that. Only other thing i can think of, is could it be for a stacker in the boot?

    Its not an amp type wire more like an aerial but only 3mm thick the stacker cable is on the other side

    No clue then mate.


    You'll have to wait til after easter for the Car audio guys to be online, unless someone else see's it and knows what it is.

    i have the same problem.. i duno what that little cable does..
    im guessing its one of two things.. the stacker cable on the other side is for data only and that little cable is the stackers 12v power source which is piggy backed of the radio
    OR
    its something to do with the old units ability to control how high or low the electric areal goes

    It's for the diversity antenna, it's supposed to pick up the radio stations better.
    Only washing machines come in automatic
