    Default VS sterio weird

    Hey guys.
I got a pioneer system and this thing happens when Its on a few minutes later the 2 front speakers just cut out without warning just stops. If I turn it off and turn it back on again it starts back up again fine, all speakers. But then it goes off and sometimes it dosnt, now i have experimented. I find when i accelerate it cuts off or move. Could this be a faulty wiring at the amp or maybe its just conneted and everytime theres a bump it disconnects. Not sure very weird. What do you guys think of this?

Okay you are going to have to do some trial and error.
So you say you have got an amp? When you say accelerate. If you have the car in neutral and accelerate does it cut out still? (or is it being caused by the movement.)

When you say the speakers cut out. is it instant or is there crackling?

Is the amp going into protection mode? (what kinda amp) Should have a led illuminated, Read manual.

Protection mode could be caused by the speaker wire having a little nick and shorting onto the frame, and it could be on either side of the car or both.

Firstly try and source some new cabling so that you can run wires externally out of the car, to run a trial and error type of system.

Try wiring the speakers directly to the head units own amp. (this will show if the wiring to the amp has got a fault some where along the line) and also weather there is a problem in the wiring to the speakers.

Try running the rear pre outs from the head unit into the amp. and see if that fixes the problem. (that would show if the front pre outs are faulty on the head unit)

Try running different Rca cables from the head unit to the amp.

Let me know how you go,

    Mitch

Yeh mate figuared it out 2 of the sub wires were touching each other giving an error code on the AMP something so simple but took awhile to look for it. Cheers for your advice ill use it in the future if there are any other faults. Jack
