i was replacing my headlights today, and then when i went to turn the engine on my head unit didnt come on, and there is no power running to my amp.
checked all fuses and they r fine, all other electrics work.
does anyone no wats wrong?
Mate tell me what you have tried, testing with a multimeter the acc and power into the loom of your headunit?
also how did you ground the headunit?
Thanks mitch
to be honest i havent tried the multimeter, but i cant do it now, have to do it 2moro.
its grounded to the steel frame of the dash.
wen i was putting the new headlight in there was a very small spark, culd that have caused sumthing?
What fuses have you checked. Use a multimeter or test lamp to check the fuses not your eyes. There should be 2 tabs on either side of the fuse. Check them all in your fuse boxes,
check headunit fuse?
and check that power is coming in via your wiring harness through the constant, and acc.
Let me know how you go. then i can shoot some more ideas to you.
Cheers
found out last nite when i tried drving it that the dash lights also dont come on, like the dials nd that. and that the immobiliser turns on and off randomly. so im thinking something has short cuircited the wiring systems. tryina get it into an auto sparky.
cheers for the help tho
turned out to be the parker light fuse that messed everything up
