nissan wiring colours

hi, im trying to find the wiring colours for my mate who has a nissan navara ute 91, im not sure if his car has enough power wires because his stock headunit only has one power cable and when i wire this new kenwood headunit up to it it works fine untill you turn it off then it resets, can i run another wire somewhere since i have both red and yellow connected to this one power cable, which one do i wire elsewhere so it keeps a memory.

It should have a constant +12v wire somewhere, are there any wires left over? first check that you havent blown any fuses and use a test light to probe the wires to find out which one lights up with the ignition off.

If there doesnt appear to be a +12v wire then run the Yellow wire from the headunit direct to the battery but make sure it is fused. The yellow wire needs a constant power supply to retain the memory.
